Shorecrest Beach Club Minutes

October 12, 2019

Meeting called to order 10:00 AM

Roll Call: Ken, Patricia, Craig, Tracey                    Bill, Mike, Greg absent (excused)

Minutes: Minutes for September 7^th and 24^th, 2019 was read and approved

Staff reports:

Presidents: Mike absent

Treasurer: A report was given by Patricia (the report is in the office).

Office Manager: A report was given by Carolynne (the report is in the office). Carolynne brought up the budget for 2020 – 2021 and the need for a raise in dues.

Maintenance report: Elliott gave a verbal report. He said they had the sod removed for the sprinkler system and that he had got all the leaves, from last year, off the roofs but now you can’t tell it was cleaned.

Pool Report: Teresa absent

Carolynne’s computer uses windows 7, that will no longer be supported by Microsoft after January of 2020 and was purchased in 2012. For about $650 the computer can be replaced with a new computer that is similar to the one she has now

The Board voted to spend up to $700 for the purchase of a new computer.

Ken brought up that we need a new printer to replace the Epson that we have now because since January thru September Shorecrest has spent $400 on ink cartridges. A new printer that has refillable tanks cost $350 and refills that equal many ink cartridges cost $10 to $20.

The Board voted spend up to $400 for the purchase of a new printer.

The Board voted to accept the staff reports.

Committee reports:

Architectural Committee: Moved discussion to the working meeting on October 29, 2019.

Activities Committee: Carolynne said the garden is closing for the winter. A lot of members got food from the garden. She said the lady’s group was planning to have a cookie exchange sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Thanksgiving dinner on November 23^rd was discussed.
