Working meeting

Meeting called to order 7:00 pm

Roll Call: Greg, Ken, Bill, Mike

Louann Davis and Pam Lau resigned from the Board of Directors.

Jerry Strong resigned from the Board of Directors do to work schedule.

Open Session

Mike discussed asking Patricia McCray and Rick West if they would want to be on the Board of Directors. The Board agreed That Mike should ask them.

Discussed installing a sprinkler system on Shorecrest grounds.

Discussed things needs to be done to the pool.

Carolynne brought up the contract to monitor fire alarm system that is coming up for renewal. The Board agreed not to renewal it.

Discussed the makeup of the committees.

The Board decided that sense the there aren’t any board members on the Communication Committee that it would be temporarily inactive.

Discussed the list of member emails that we have gathered

Greg reported on the speed results from the hoses the county put on Crestview. It showed some cars going over 80 mph. Greg will continue to work on the problem.

Discussed having a sign-up sheet at the Board Meetings for members that want to speak at the meeting. Also discussed putting what the Board says it will do in to action list.

Mike wanted to know if the Board would agree to book Jimmy Buffet impersonator for Shorefest next year. The Board agreed to book him.

The Board voted to go into Closed Session to discuss employee wages.

The Board voted to give the office manager (Carolynne Brown) a $1.00 raise effective October 1, 2018 and the maintenance person (Larry Palumbo) a $1.00 raise effective January 1, 2019.The Board voted to appoint Patricia McCray and Rick West to the Board of Directors effective immediately if the agreed to it.
