May 13^th Meeting

Meeting Commenced at 10am

Board Members Present: Mike Jacobson, President, Craig Larsen Vice President

Tracy McGlothlin, Treasurer Joanne Kreiger Director. Absent; Janet Martini, Loa Maggi and Ken Shelton ( all excused)

No minutes from last month - we only had the Annual Meeting last month

President Mike Jacobson opened the meeting with a discussion and report on the Trash pick-up (Dumpster Day) we had on May 6^th. We had 3 20yard dumpsters and our 2 trailers here. Over 75 loads of trash were collected. Thanks you to Mike, Craig and Elliot for all the hard work.

Mike also discussed the Taylor Shellfish proposed oyster farm in Oakland Bay and the impact it could have on our beaches. Some informational flyers will be distributed by Shorecrest residents. We encourage people to make themselves aware of what is proposed and how it could affect our neighborhood.

Tracey McGothlin – treasurer - reported on the funds we have in our bank accounts,

Carolynne Brown –manager- reported on office activity and upcoming late fee charges for past due accounts. Also on the number of new permits issued and the sales of property in our HOA.

Elliot Pridmore – maintenance – discussed the new lights on our reader board at the entrance to Shorecrest. Elliot is also on the architectural committee and he and Vice President Craig Larsen gave an up date on the meeting with the Mason County officials regarding properties without water or septic and also trash/clean-up issues. Basically the County does not have the funds nor the manpower to help us with our problems. Other ideas are being considered to solve some of our issues.

Teresa Holcomb – Pool Manager – The pool will open on Saturday May 27^th at noon (weather permitting). Sunday will be Hot dog and chili day at the pool.

Food will be served from 1pm to 4pm. All is free.  

The pool schedule was discussed and we will stay with the schedule that we have used for the past 3 years.

     QUIET SWIM   -   10am to 1pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

     Open SWIM - 1pm to 8pm Monday through Friday.

                               Saturday and Sunday 12Noon until 8pm

Activities are getting underway for the July 4^th Bar-B-Que and the Shorefest “Beach Party” more information to come. Also a July 1^st Garage sale is scheduled for the community – Information will be posted on the website as well as our reader boards.
