Shorecrest Board Meeting notes
November 12th 2022
By: Janet Martini
Call to order
Roll Call: Ken Shelton, Janet Martini, Joanna Krieger, Craig Larsen
Maintenance and Architectural Committee: Elliott Pridmore
Pool Manager: Teresa Holcomb
Office Manager: Carolynne Brown
Craig talked about the county wide HOA meeting and how it went. Janet had mentioned that maybe we post on our board by the pool something like, "Keep our neighborhood safe. See something, say something non-emergency Sheriff number 360-427-7761 or 360-426-4441”. Talked about having another meeting maybe in March of next year of all the county wide HOA associations.

We had to transfer $10,000 from checking to pay bills and may need to transfer another $10,000 soon. Talked a little bit about assessments for the pool surfacing and the new roof on the clubhouse and out buildings. Talked a little bit about possibly having to raise our annual dues. This will all be discussed in our budget meeting in December. Talked about the roof on the garage being the worst right now then the clubhouse and then the other buildings.
Maintenance report given by Elliott Pridmore.
The carport will be installed this next Monday. Elliott to supervise. Everything is ready for the installation at the garden. Talked a little bit about looking at how to put up a storage place for the garden equipment. Craig and Elliott to take a look at that as soon as the shed is installed. We also need to dig a hole and pour cement for some kind of locking system for the trailer. Elliott to take care of that.
Pool Report given by Teresa Holcomb.
Teresa and Carolynne to set up a time for the plumbing changes to be done. Now that the pool is closed for the season, Teresa is only checking chemicals once a week. It’s been at least 12 years since we re-surfaced the pool. There are 5 patches now but Teresa felt she could make it through the next season before re-surfacing. When the company comes out to do the plumbing, they will be giving an estimate on re-surfacing and give recommendations.
Architectural Committee report Elliott Pridmore.
He talked about the health department being at our last meeting and that they are working on 10 properties we are having major issues with. At least we have someone working with us on this issue. There was another situation we had talked about at the last meeting that we were going to send out a letter on but the problem has been resolved.
Activities Committee report.
As a group we talked about Thanksgiving and possibly doing something for some of the needy families but Terresa said she is taking care of a few families that she knows of in need through her work. If we hear of anyone, we will maybe give a gift certificate to Fred Meyer or something but as on right now we are not planning on doing anything in this area.
Old business:
Biggest thing here is getting the carport installed. Nothing else was brought up other that what was discussed in everyone’s reports.
New business:
Johanna mentioned that some of the ladies in the lady’s night group wanted to know if it was
Okay for other people to come to ladies’ night that are not in our neighborhood. We discussed that there have never been restrictions in this area before. Talked a little about how do we get more women involved here. Carolynne and Johanna will look at the e-mail list together. Carolynne did mention that she has had 3 members tell her lately it would be nice to have another shed installed for maybe a work out area. Maybe 3 pieces of equipment and have a fee if people wanted to use the facility. We will look at this at a later date.
Meeting adjourned.
